We are based in British Columbia. We know British Columbia requirements. We can respond to the needs of British Columbia lawyers, and we can easily support users in British Columbia.

LawStream is ready for Trust Administration Fees, reporting to assist with new trust audit requirements, and sales tax on client accounts. Whatever other requirements might be imposed on B.C. lawyers (for timekeeping, trust accounting, etc.), we plan to continue to make sure LawStream will satisfy those requirements.

Recent changes to our services for B.C. lawyers include the ability to categorize individual names as belonging to groups of related clients, for the purpose of reporting on fees charged to related individuals or corporations. Click here for a sample report in pdf format showing related names, and click here for an image of the entry window for specifying a group for a client/name. LawStream also makes it a lot easier to identify and manage groups of associated clients: click here to see a sample window showing a list of names that could be "associated" by similar names or by contacts within corporate clients.

Proper reporting for British Columbia lawyers requires the categorizing of files according to areas of law specified by the Law Society of B.C.. A new window has been added to assist you in reviewing and organizing all your files, to ensure that each of them corresponds to a "file type" specified by the Law Society. Click here to see an example of that entry window.
