LawStream Pro Product Information

If these questions are important to you,
then LawStream Pro might be an important tool for getting the answers you need:

  • do you have any work in progress that is close to becoming too stale to bill?
  • how much have you billed in fees so far this month?
  • who are the experts and other witnesses you have contacted on a file ?
  • what is the status of each document your office has prepared for a complex share restructuring ?
  • how much of your billable time (or that of your associate) has been turned into fee income during the last six months?
  • do you have time in your schedule next week, for two hours of "catch up" time?
  • which files in the office are ready for interim reports and bills (with money in trust and unbilled work in progress)?

There are plenty of other reasons to get LawStream, but here are some of the ones we like most:

  • 10. you can manage your time, billings, schedule, contacts, and accounting, all in one application
  • 9. you can get your work done more quickly, and leave the office earlier
  • 8. you can create your own personal file, with all your friends as "contacts" for the file, and keep track of which friends you are seeing when
  • 7. you can find out the day of the week you were born, or the number of minutes of your spouse's age
  • 6. you can create your own reports, using your own unique choice of fonts, type-color and formatting
  • 5. you can check to see if a client's account is fully paid, before you decide to accept a phone call from that client
  • 4. you can look at graphs of your billable time (or your associates' billable time) over the last month, to determine your (or their) productivity decreases after Wednesday-night poker games
  • 3. you can use your computer of choice (Mac or Windows) in the office, no matter what kind of computer everyone else is using
  • 2. you get to check "fortune cookies" whenever you want (and create your own, if you wish), to see if you can get inspired or amused while you are working
  • 1. with contacts and reminders on your iPod, you have a better chance of writing off your 40GB iPod as a business expense

THE LATEST: Good news for Amicus Attorney users and TimeMatters users (or, at least, for future-ex-users of those products): LawStream can convert and import client/contact data and file/matter data from your Amicus or TimeMatters data base. That means LawStream can now provide an easier conversion process for Amicus and TimeMatters users, along with the conversion path it already provides for Timeslips users. The conversion procedure can still be complex, as different people tend to use their copies of those other programs in different ways: the conversion process is therefore done by PowerSoft Innovations, at an added (but reasonably priced) cost.
