LawStream Classic Demo for Windows

PLEASE download and read the demo instructions (pdf file), and PLEASE read the other instructions on this page.

Select the "Windows demo package" link under the "Download Now" heading in the left column, to start the download.

What the demo does:

The LawStream Classic demo does everything the "real thing" does, except that the demo will expire at the end of September, 2007. You should be able to enter data and produce reports, just as you would do so if you had a full working version of LawStream Classic.

How the demo differs from the "real" LawStream Classic:

The main difference between the demo and the "real" LawStream Classic, is that the demo does not include support and creation of a new data file, although those services are included in the price of your LawStream Classic package. Along with that, you will find that some of the reports in the demo might not be complete, as there is a page-limit on the reports.

To download the demo:

To download the demo, just click on the link at the left (under the words "Download now "). ... and PLEASE read the instructions below, while the files are being downloaded (or after the download is done).

If you have problems downloading the demo:

The LawStream Classic demo installer package for Windows is a self-extracting compacted application file. That means it is a combination of a program and a set of other files (viz., the actual demo program package). The single demo package file that you download from this web site is recognized by Windows as an application (it has the ".exe" suffix that most applications have). That demo package, though, has only one purpose in life: when you start that LawStream Classic installer package by double-clicking on that file's icon, it will expand the LawStream Classic demo program files, and save them on your computer's hard disk. Be sure to make note of the place where that installer saves the LawStream Classic demo program files, so you can find them later when you want to try the demo.

Cost for the demo:

There is no charge for the LawStream Classic demo. You should not pay for our privilege of letting you know about our software.

Important information, to help you get the most out of the LawStream demo package...

  1. Downloading and printing this pdf document about the demo will make it much easier for you to learn about LawStream Classic.
  2. The demo files are in a compacted self-extracting format. If your browser does not know what to do with the file (either when the download starts, or after the files are downloaded), all you have to do is save the file on your hard disk. After you have saved the file on your hard disk, just double-click on the icon that will appear wherever you save it (the file will be called "LawStream Folder"), to make that file expand into a folder containing all the LawStream Classic demo files.
  3. The demo package is big. It will be about 17MB when you download it, and almost twice that size by the time you expand it on your computer's hard disk. If you have fast internet access (e.g., cable or DSL), the download shouldn't take more than five minutes or so. If you have slow modem access, you will have a very long wait, for the file to be downloaded.
