Answers to the questions:
Q: How do I get to the download page?
A: Chances are, that you got to this web page of "Already Asked Questions", from the main demo download page; if that is the case, you need only click on your web browser's "back" button to go back to the main demo download window. If you don't want to do that (or if you can't do that), just click on the LawStream logo near the top left corner of this window, to go to the main LawStream web page; from there, you can click on the . The "Download Demo" links near the top right of that page, are the ones that start the download process. If you want to go directly to that page from this page, just click here.
Q: How big is the demo package?
A: The demo package is big. It contains all the files in the basic LawStream program package. When you download the demo package, it will be in a compacted format, but that compacted file will be about 30MB. Once that compacted file has been expanded, it will be about 80MB.
Q: How long will it take to download the LawStream demo package?
A: The time required to download the demo package will vary, depending on the type of internet connection you have, and the speed of that connection at any given time. If you have ever downloaded a 4MB song from the iTunes web site, or any similar-sized file from other sources, you can expect a 40MB file to take about ten times as long as a 4MB file.
Q: instead of downloading the demo package from your web site, can I order a copy of the files on a CD?
A: At this time, we do not have plans to offer demo versions of our software on CDs.
Q: I see different links, for downloading the demo package for my type of computer? Does that mean I have to download different demo packages, or different parts of the demo package?
A: If there are different links provided for downloading the demo files, they are merely alternative sites, or alternative formats for the download. Once you successfully download a copy of the software for your computer, you do not have to download any other demo package.
Q: Where will the demo files be saved, when I tell your web site to download the demo package?
A: The destination of those files, will depend on the preferences you have established for your own web browser. In most cases, the browser will save the files on your desktop or the main area of your hard drive (Mac) or the root level of your C drive (Windows). If you cannot locate the download package after it has been downloaded, get your computer to find files with the name LawStream - the download package should be among the files located by your computer; chances are, it will be the only file located on the basis of that search.
Q: Do I need to download any other files, apart from the demo program package?
A: Although all the files necessary for running the demo version of the program are included in the program package, we STRONGLY URGE you to download the information sheets that can be accessed from the demo-download page. If you have not yet downloaded those files, click here.
Q: Once the evaluation period has expired, how can I remove the downloaded demo files from my computer's hard drive?
A: Removing the files is simple. Because no special extensions or dll files are installed in any other folders or directories, you will only have to delete the expanded folder/directory containing your downloaded demo package. You should already have deleted the downloaded (compacted) demo package after expanding it; if you have not already deleted that compacted/zipped file, you should also delete it.
