Exporting LawStream Data

With LawStream's many reports, and its integrated word processor, you might never need to export your data to other applications. However, for those times when you do believe it is necessary to use LawStream data in other applications, there is a separate control window for exporting various types of data in various formats.

Exporting data from LawStream is easy! Select the Export window from the Utilities tab, and then choose a record-type, an export-format and a selection of the records you want to export. LawStream will prompt you for a destination for the export file, and export the data for you.

The first step in exporting data is to tell LawStream which type of record you want to export: select the record from the drop-down list of record-types:

Next, tell LawStream which of those records you want to export, by selecting a search from a list of relevant searches:

Once you've selected the record-type and the search, you can tell LawStream the format of the records to be exported, by selecting another menu-item:

After that, it's just a matter of telling LawStream to proceed with the export:
