Is LawStream compatible with Simply Accounting or Quickbooks?

Our answer:

LawStream is not designed to integrate with other accounting programs: it is designed to be your accounting program. With integrated trust and office accounting, receivables, payables, a general ledges, bank reconciliations, trial balances, journal entries and more, LawStream can provide a viable bookkeeping solution for most small and medium-sized law offices. The only shortcoming, that may or may not affect your office, is a lack of a built-in payroll system. LawStream can handle all the journal entries associated with payroll, but does not contain tables to generate appropriate deductions for individual countries, states or provinces. Given LawStream's integration of other accounting functions and its compliance with trust requirements (including TAF and the Law Society's regulations for trust reporting in British Columbia), it does provide the basis for a superior accounting package for law offices.
