LawStream Pro
Sales Questions and Answers

Your question:

I'm looking at another package, which offers some basic features, but no trust accounting. How important is trust accounting?

Our answer:

If your clients trust you with their money, and if your bar association or law society expects you to account for money held in trust for your clients, then trust accounting is critically important. Beware of software companies that claim to have features that will be ready "very soon": think of them as being similar to an attorney who takes on a case by saying he or she will soon learn enough to be able to represent a client in a particular area of the law.

LawStream Pro's trust accounting has dozens of reports and entry procedures to provide complete, accurate and reliable trust accounting, so you can be sure your accounts (and your clients' finances) will be in order. Our trust accounting features have been enhanced over several years, and are much more than a quick month-long (or year-long) effort. Trust accounting in LawStream Pro also benefits from integration with office accounting, management reports, reminders, and other aspects of a firm's LawStream Pro data base.

You might want to buy a "complete" law office package without trust accounting, but only if you are the kind of person who would buy a car on a salesperson's promises that the brakes will be added as soon as possible...
